A one-time grant of up to $30,000 is available to help Comanche Nation Tribal members achieve homeownership. The program is open to Tribal members Nationwide on a First come, first served basis, subject to the availability of funds. The maximum amount for down payment and closing cost assistance is 10% of the total mortgage of the home or up to $30,000, whichever is less.
Eligibility:
- Must be at least 21 years or older.
- Must be Comanche Nation tribal member.
- Applicants must not have any unpaid debts owed to Comanche Nation Housing Authority or Comanche Nation.
- Only one qualifying tribal member per household.
- Must be on the loan application.
- Must be approved for home loan with an eligible lending institution.
- Primary residence only (investment property, vacation home or second home does not qualify). Applicants may not own any other residential property.
- Must complete a Homebuyer Education Class in person or virtually.
Requirements:
- Copy of CDIB or tribal membership card
- Copy of SSN card and a valid state issued photo ID or driver’s license
- Pre-approval letter from the lender
- Copy of home loan contract – must include property address on the application
